-Story

----------------------------------------------------

The Story

An answer that no amount of thinking could produce suddenly appears in the mind, as an idea, in a single unguarded moment.

This has long been described as "the moment a light bulb turns on."
Looking at it again, the metaphor is so precise that it's almost startling — there's a strange pleasure in how well it fits.
What this lamp aims for is exactly that moment of insight.

The instant you flip the switch, that one small change transforms the mood of the entire room — and only then is this lamp truly complete.

Product Description

A uniquely designed table lamp that looks as if a piece of line art had been lifted straight into three dimensions.
Drawn in bold, simple lines, the expression of that flash of insight never overstates itself, quietly supporting the lamp's central idea: giving form to the moment of insight itself.
The carefully polished stainless steel holds its own as art even when unlit, and the moment you switch it on, it takes on a different expression, softly reflecting its own light.
It's a new kind of interior piece — where line art and light become one, offering a small, special moment each time you welcome it into your space.

The Making Process

More than a dozen stainless steel rods are bent by hand, one at a time, as though drawing a picture, then joined together entirely through welding. During this process, we intentionally leave the "bead" — the raised ridge of melted metal that forms when welding — visible, giving the lines a playful, hand-drawn quality.
Once the design is complete, the surface is first roughly ground flat. From there, we polish it in many stages, gradually moving to finer grits, and finish with a cloth buff to achieve an extremely smooth, mirror finish that reflects its surroundings.
