それぞれが異なる個性を持ち、
シンプルで無駄のない、完成された形をしている。

中でもアスパラガスは、
背筋をすっと伸ばしたような上品な佇まいと、
穂先の繊細な構造に宿る生命力が印象的で、
観察するうち、徐々に愛着がわいてきた。

普段は食材として消費される存在を、
別のかたちでキッチンやダイニングに迎え入れたい。

そんな再解釈から、
このスパイスラックは生まれた。

-商品説明

回転台座の上でスパイスボトルを大事に抱えるアスパラガスの姿がかわいらしく、ユーモラスなデザイン。料理の時間や食卓でのひとときを、ほんの少し楽しく、心あたたまるものにしてくれます。その愛らしい佇まいは、目にした人が思わず話題にしたくなるような存在感があり、ゲストとの楽しい会話のきっかけにもなるでしょう。

台座にはウッドデッキにも使われるセランガンバツ材を採用。耐久性と耐水性を備えており、傷や水はねによる劣化、液だれによるシミを防ぐため、キッチンやダイニングでも安心してお使いいただけます。

-形になるまで

本体には、無垢のステンレス丸棒を使用。削ったり曲げたり、時にはハンマーで叩きながら、微妙な反りや凹凸、質感といったアスパラの有機的なフォルムを表現しています。
穂先の細かな凹凸は、「ビード」と呼ばれる溶接時に生まれる溶けた金属の盛り上がりを一つひとつ乗せていき、繊細な質感に仕上げました。
表面仕上げは徐々に番手を上げながら研磨を施すことで得られる鏡面の仕上げ。ただし、完璧な鏡面ではなく、下処理の研磨跡をあえて粗いまま残すことで、ステンレスでありながら繊維のような有機的な質感を表現しています。
回転台座はセランガンバツ材を円形に切り出し、デザインのまとまりを出すためエッジをくっきりと残したまま、木肌は滑らかになるよう研磨。表面には、ダイニングテーブルなどにも使われるウレタンコーティングを施し、水や汚れにも強い仕様としています。

The Story

There was a moment, unplanned, when the form of a vegetable caught my heart.
Each vegetable has its own character, its form simple, efficient, and already complete.
Among them, the asparagus stood out — its posture elegant, almost upright like a straightened spine, and its tip holding a delicate, vital energy. The longer I studied it, the more attached I became.
Something usually consumed as food — I wanted to welcome it into the kitchen and dining room in a different form.
This spice rack was born from that reinterpretation.

Product Description

A charming, humorous design: an asparagus carefully holding a spice bottle atop a rotating base. It brings a small touch of warmth and fun to time spent cooking or gathered at the table.
Its endearing presence is the kind that makes people want to talk about it — a natural conversation starter when guests come over.
The base is made from serangan batu, a wood also used for outdoor decking. Durable and water-resistant, it holds up against scratches, splashes, and stains from spills, so it can be used with confidence in the kitchen or at the dining table.

The Making Process

The body is made from a solid stainless steel rod. Through carving, bending, and at times hammering, we shape the subtle curves, unevenness, and texture that give the asparagus its organic form.
The fine texture at the tip is built up one bead at a time — "beads" being the raised ridges of melted metal formed during welding — to create a delicate surface.
The surface is polished in stages, gradually moving to finer grits, to achieve a mirror-like finish. But it's not a perfect mirror — we intentionally leave some of the rougher, early-stage polishing marks visible, giving the stainless steel an organic, fibrous texture.
The rotating base is cut from serangan batu into a circular shape. To keep the design cohesive, the edges are left crisp and defined while the wood surface itself is sanded smooth. It's then finished with a urethane coating, the same kind used on dining tables, making it resistant to water and stains.
